Terms of Service
Last updated 19 July 2026
In short
CardCopilot helps you understand and compare Indian credit cards. We are not a bank, we don't issue cards or move money, and nothing here is personalised financial advice. Card data, reward math, AI answers and Dream Goals roadmaps are all computed estimates from public information — useful for planning, not a promise of outcome. Always confirm current rates, fees and eligibility with the issuer before you apply for or use a card. The full detail is below; if anything here conflicts with common sense, the detailed section governs.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and CardCopilot (“CardCopilot”, “we”, “us”, “our”) governing your access to and use of cardcopilot.in and every feature on it, including the card explorer, calculator, recommendation engine, Dream Goals, the AI planner and any dashboard or account area (together, the “Service”). By visiting the site, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who can use CardCopilot
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 (or the equivalent law in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using CardCopilot you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law. The Service is designed around Indian credit cards and Indian reward programmes; if you access it from outside India, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with local laws.
3. What CardCopilot is
CardCopilot is an independent information and optimisation tool for Indian credit cards. We help you compare cards, estimate rewards for your own spending pattern, explore what real-world experiences (Dream Goals) might cost and how a card could help fund them, and get computed, AI-narrated answers to planning questions. We are not a bank, a card issuer, a lender, a payment aggregator, or a registered financial, investment or tax advisor. We do not issue credit cards, underwrite or approve applications, extend credit, or hold, transmit or manage your funds. Any card application you make happens directly with the issuing bank, on the bank's own website or channel, under the bank's own terms.
4. Not financial, tax or legal advice
Everything on CardCopilot — recommendations, scores, calculations, reward valuations, card comparisons, Dream Goals roadmaps and AI-generated answers — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. None of it is personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and none of it accounts for your complete financial situation, credit history, or eligibility with any specific issuer. Reward rules, fees, interest rates and benefits change frequently and can vary by card variant, region, promotional period and individual offer. You should independently verify current terms with the issuer and, where the decision is significant, consult a licensed financial advisor before applying for or relying on any credit product.
5. PRISM, computed estimates and Dream Goals
Card scores, net-value figures, effective reward rates and card rankings are produced by PRISM, our deterministic reward-scoring engine, using the spend profile and preferences you provide together with published card rules. Dream Goals extends this into experience planning: trip, stay and product costs shown there are indicative market figures that move with season, city and availability, and the “months to goal”, progress bars and monthly plans are projections that assume the suggested spend pattern, currently published reward rules, and conservative point valuations continue to hold. None of these numbers are guarantees. Banks and loyalty programmes can change earn rates, cap structures, fees, transfer ratios and partners at any time, and specific award seats, room nights or redemption inventory are never guaranteed to be available when you want them. Any “progress” shown against a goal is an estimate of what your points could be worth under current assumptions, not a redeemable balance or a commitment from CardCopilot, any bank, airline or hotel.
6. AI-generated content
Some parts of the Service — including card explanations, AI Insights and the Dream Goals AI planner — use a large language model to narrate or summarise figures that PRISM has already computed. The underlying numbers come from the engine, but the surrounding narration is machine-generated text and can occasionally be incomplete, poorly phrased, or wrong in ways that are not immediately obvious. Treat AI-generated answers as a starting point for your own thinking, not as a verified fact or a recommendation you should act on without checking the underlying figures and the issuer's own terms. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information — such as full account numbers, passwords, government ID numbers or OTPs — into any AI planner or chat input; you only need to describe your goal or question.
7. Accuracy of card information
Card data — fees, benefits, reward rates, eligibility criteria and images — is researched from public sources, including issuer websites and publicly available documentation, and maintained on a best-effort basis. We cannot guarantee that this information is complete, current or free of error at any given moment, and issuers can change terms without notifying us. Product images and card art are used for identification purposes and may not always reflect the exact current design issued by the bank. You are responsible for confirming the applicable terms, fees and eligibility directly with the issuer before applying for or using any card.
8. No affiliation or endorsement
CardCopilot is an independent platform. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any bank, card issuer, the Reserve Bank of India, the National Payments Corporation of India, or any card network (including Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, American Express or Diners Club), unless a specific page explicitly states otherwise. Bank names, card names, logos and network marks shown on the Service are the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify and describe the products being compared — their use does not imply any partnership, sponsorship or endorsement of CardCopilot.
9. Third-party links and services
The Service may link out to issuer websites, application forms, or other third-party services, and may rely on third-party infrastructure (including hosting, authentication and AI providers) to operate. Once you leave CardCopilot for a third-party site, that site's own terms and privacy policy apply, and we have no control over and no responsibility for its content, accuracy, security or the outcome of any application you submit there. We recommend reviewing the applicable terms before you proceed.
10. Accounts and registration
Certain features — saving cards, tracking a Dream Goal, or seeing personalised progress — require an account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to notify us promptly at hello@cardcopilot.in if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that provides false information, is inactive for an extended period, or is used in a way that breaches these Terms.
11. Your content and inputs
When you enter a spend profile, select goals, ask the AI planner a question, or otherwise submit information to the Service (“your content”), you retain ownership of it. You grant CardCopilot a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and use your content solely to operate and improve the Service for you — for example, to compute recommendations, track a Dream Goal, or generate an AI response. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malicious code. We may remove content or restrict access where we reasonably believe this agreement has been breached.
12. Fees
The core Service is currently free to use. We do not charge you for comparing cards, running the calculator, or planning a Dream Goal. If we introduce paid plans or premium features in the future, we will clearly describe what is chargeable before you incur any cost, and using the free parts of the Service will remain unaffected unless we tell you otherwise.
13. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes: attempting to disrupt, overload or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure; scraping, crawling or bulk-extracting data at a scale beyond normal individual use; reverse engineering, decompiling or attempting to derive the PRISM scoring logic or other proprietary systems; probing, scanning or testing the Service's security without our prior written permission; impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation; uploading malicious code; and using the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law or regulation. We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or restrict access to protect the Service and other users.
14. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, the PRISM engine, our written content, software and the CardCopilot name and logo, is owned by CardCopilot or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service, or use our branding, without our prior written consent. Bank and network trademarks remain the property of their respective owners, as described in Section 8.
15. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — it is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service you consent to the data practices described there.
16. Grievance officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, we designate a grievance officer to address complaints regarding the Service. You can reach the grievance officer at grievance@cardcopilot.in. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and work to resolve them within the timelines prescribed by applicable law.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that any recommendation, valuation, timeline or AI-generated answer will be accurate, complete, or achieve any particular outcome for you.
18. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, CardCopilot and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — including decisions you make about applying for, using, or not using a credit card based on information here. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Your relationship with any credit card you hold or apply for is governed entirely by your separate agreement with the issuing bank, and CardCopilot is not a party to that agreement.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CardCopilot, its team and licensors harmless from any claim, liability, damage or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third party's rights.
20. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, posed a risk to the Service or other users, or where required by law. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 14, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22 and 23 — will continue to apply.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have, the courts of India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service. Before pursuing a formal dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@cardcopilot.in so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
22. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
23. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms shown for a specific feature, make up the entire agreement between you and CardCopilot regarding the Service, and supersede any prior understanding on the same subject.
24. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date at the top of this page, and where a change is significant we will make reasonable efforts to bring it to your attention. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
